"Verizon Wireless said today that contrary to reports last week, it has not decided to increase per-message text fees for content aggregators from 1 cent per message to 3 cents.

"The prospect of an increase is just one proposal and Verizon could not act unilaterally to implement it, a company spokesman explained this morning.

"Initial reports last week cited a letter from Verizon to aggregators in which the wireless operator said the increase is effective Nov. 1.

"That was a misstatement, the nation’s second-largest wireless operator said today."

Just fyi, the bus shelter text ads have been so popular we'll be putting the 38714 number up on full size billboards as well starting with the next "busy season" (right before Xmas). Keep an eye out for them!

I'm a serious apple nerd, so I like talking to other apple nerds to see what kinds of setups they have and what kinds of things they're doing with their computers.  Plus, you can't really just wait a day, b/c by the next day the entire stock has already been reserved for people who waited the first day after they sold out and put their names on a waiting list.  I know one girl who is still waiting to get hers.  Oh- and it WAS worth the wait!</description>
