Powered by LivePerson®, a leading provider of online customer engagement solutions, Mobile Assist allows customers to chat from anywhere: from within a store, on the subway, in the airport, in line getting coffee, or any place they can get a mobile phone signal. From the customer's perspective, the chat appears just like they are using text to talk to a friend – a communication channel they likely use on their phone more than voice.
Mobile Assist utilizes SMS as the chat communication channel, so it works on virtually all mobile phones without the need to install a specialized mobile application. Mobile Assist integrates with the in-place chat infrastructure, and chats are routed to existing web chat customer service agents through the chat console that they already use. The customer's use of a mobile device for the chat is completely transparent, but the benefits to being able to chat from anywhere are tremendous.
